Harvest Moon's Esperanza, Esmeralda, Stellaluna, and Isabell are now IAGARB's TOP FOUR REGISTERED Angoras! They all registered with Gross Wt fiber production of, 2284/5.0#, 2088/4.6#, 2208/4.87#, and 2240/4.9# per year, respectively. That brings them close to a pound and a quarter per shearing, or around FIVE POUNDS per year each. Their sire, Mack holds the highest production record in IAGARB for 2007, and he still holds the top registration record for a buck.

Angora is said to be 6-8 times warmer than sheep's wool as well as being luxuriously soft. All Harvest Moon fiber is carefully sheared off each rabbit in my small herd of Angora rabbits. Harvest Moon Angoras is a member of the International Association of German Angora Rabbit Breeders. My Angoras have benefited so much from the invaluable advice provided by the group’s generous members. Part of membership to IAGARB includes the opportunity to participate in the open Yahoo groups discussion between members. Members also benefit from sharing the Zeilingers Mills' group rate for yarn runs.
